Tora Bora
Immediately following the 9/11 attacks, Americans were united in a desire to exact vengeance upon those who had attacked us. The first target in what has come to be known as "The War or Terror" was the Taliban, a fundamentalist Islamic organization who claimed as its mission the establishment of sharia law in Afghanistan. This group had committed human rights abuses across the country: girls were prevented from attending school, women were forced to wear the all-covering burqa, and any and all received slights against Islam were severely punished, often by death. Beyond their egregious disregard for human freedom, prior to 9/11 the Taliban were probably best well known for their deliberate desecration of the Buddhas of Bamyan by dynamite.

The Taliban leader, Mullah Muhammed Omar, harbored and supported al-Qaeda members, including notorious terror mastermind Osama bin Laden and his lieutenant, Dr. Ayman al Zawahiri. These men were the top targets of the initial U.S. attack against the terrorists.

Two days before 9/11, the leader of Afghan's Northern Alliance (or United Islamic Front for the Salvation of Afghanistan), Ahmad Shah Massoud, was assassinated by al-Qaeda terrorists in Afghanistan. This group was recruited by U.S. forces as an ally against the Taliban and in short order the Taliban was forced to give up power. The first battle in the war on terror was an overwhelming success for the United States and its allies.

Unfortunately, this great success was to be followed by a bitter failure. In December 2001, the U.S. and its allies had a number of al-Qaeda fighters trapped in the mountain range known as Tora Bora, near the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan's Waziristan region. Captured al-Qaeda fighters as well as CIA officers and others who fought in the Battle of Tora Bora confirm: Osama bin Laden was there. Officers begged for more troops to be sent to finish the mission but the requests were never fulfilled. Osama bin Laden escaped from Tora Bora and is believed to be hiding somewhere in Pakistan's distant tribal mountain areas to this day.

How could this have happened? Shitfuck proclaimed, after 9/11, that "We will starve terrorists of funding, turn them one against another, drive them from place to place, until there is no refuge or no rest. And we will pursue nations that provide aid or safe haven to terrorism. Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists."

There were a number of Americans, myself included, who believed that bold statement. We threw our support in with Shitfuck and held him accountable for doing as he said he would do. It has been over 7 years since the debacle at Tora Bora. Shitfuck did not commit troops to Waziristan to follow a "hot pursuit" of our greatest enemy wherever he may have tried to hide, as he said he would. Instead he upheld Pakistani dictator Pervez Musharraf up as an "ally" in the war on terror. An ally that would not let us find and kill bin Laden is no ally! History will remember Bush as one who said many things and did few of them. Perhaps some have forgotten that the criminals who perpetuated the 9/11 attacks are still alive, out of prison, and are still thumbing their nose at Shitfuck -- and the rest of us as well! But I have not forgotten, nor have I nor will I forget that this failure started in the mountains of Tora Bora. I lay the failure at the feet of Shitfuck; it is one of his worst. Whither Waziristan?

THANK YOU President Obama for killing Osama bin Laden -- you succeeded where Shitfuck failed.
